When my sweet cousin Vicki asked if I wanted to have a “Team Tammy” for the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure, a 5K in Newport Beach, CA, it seemed like a lot of fun! I quickly responded with a “Yes!” As the day approached, the reality set in and I became more and more panicked about how I was going to face my friends I hadn’t seen in YEARS with NO hair! I didn’t think I could do it! Sadly, up until the morning of the race, I didn’t know if I should wear a wig, a headscarf or even go at all!!!!!! That morning I decided it wouldn’t be right to wear a wig and hide and even worse to not show up! I ended up having an amazing, uplifting time! I will never forget the friends and family who showed up that day and made me feel SO LOVED!!!!! You know who you are and I love you all so much!! ;)
